Swanson Lake Ranch Hunting Club

The Swanson Lake Ranch hunting club is offering a limited number of memberships for the 2010-2011 hunting and fishing season.  Owners Mike Dugas and Adam Wells look forward to talking with you about our resources, habitat and land management plans, as well as future ranch infrastructure and recreation plans.  In the meantime, the property is blessed with an abundance of wildlife for hunting and fishing TODAY.  Contact us for more about the SLR hunting club.

HUNTING 2010/2011

As we look forward to the 2010-2011 hunting season, we wonder whether it can get any better than this past year.  Turkey, upland, waterfowl and deer all showed impressive gains and overall the 2009-2010 hunting season was another big success.  Congratulations and many thanks to our members and guests for making 2009-2010 a terrific hunt.  Spring Turkey is underway and it is another banner harvest so far.  For some video of how good it can get, CHECK OUT Outback Outdoor's Webisode #4 (parts 1 and 2) as Adam and Trevon bowhunt gobblers at SLR.  Nice work, boys!

Swanson Lake Ranch has twelve private ponds, totaling more than 20 acres of prime waterfowl habitat.  In the summertime we enjoy canoeing and fishing for bluegill, bass, & crappie.

Our ranch also borders Swanson Reservoir Recreation Area which has 4000 acres of public hunting ground and 4,794 acres of crystal-clear water, known for trophy-sized northern pike, and numerous wiper, walleye, crappie and black bass.
